8:25 – 8:45 Students arrive; sign-in and get name tags

8:45 – 9:00 Welcome & Introductions, Roll Call and Attendance     

9:00 – 10:15 Debate Session 1
  • Speakers List, Moderated caucus, Unmoderated Caucus
  • Make Alliances
10:15 – 10:30 Break

10:30 – 12:00 Debate Session 2
  • Speakers List, Moderated Caucus, Unmoderated Caucus
  • Write resolutions 
12:00 – 12:30 Break

12:30 – 1:45 Debate Session 3 
  • Read the two Resolutions and talk with your delegation
  • Presentation of Resolutions and Questions
  • Debate Resolutions in Moderated Caucus
  • Meet with your Alliances in Unmoderated Caucus
  • Voting
1:45 – 2:15 Closing of the Conference; Group Picture; Feedback

What should you bring to the Mock Conference?

1. Your Opening Speech
2. Your Position Paper (just to have, you will not read this)
3. Country Notes Notes and statistics on violence against women in your country
4. Notes and statistics on violence against women in the world
5. Useful debate vocab sheet
6. Points and Motion sheet
7. Resolution example and vocabulary words
8. Note Taking Sheet to take notes on other countries
9. Extra paper and pens or pencils
10. A snack and water

Remember to dress professional and smart!
