Writing Resolutions

Hello Global Classrooms Delegates!

Today we learned about writing resolutions! Look below for the words that we can use for part 1 and part 2 and the PowerPoint.

Part 1: Preambulatory Clauses function to explain WHY you are doing what you are you doing. This can be a reminder of some of the problems or impact of our topic or citing past UN actions.

Operative Clauses state specifically what you plan to do in order to solve a problem. Remember to make your solutions SMART! They should begin with an UNDERLINED WORD/PHRASE followed by your solution and ending with a semicolon (;). 

FOR EXAMPLE: Encourages all countries to create government programs to help victims of violence and ensure fair and transparent reporting practices of police agencies;
